Humane education is a cornerstone of HSI's programs. We promote an ethic of compassion and care in the communities where we work. Whether giving presentations on pet care and respect for all animals in classrooms for youth, or working with adults to learn the importance of proper animal welfare and habitat protection, HSI strives to develop a more humane society for both people and animals.

Our affiliate, Humane Society University, offers a variety of online, hybrid, and classroom undergraduate degree, graduate certificate and Professional Studies programs in human-animal studies.
