En una de las mayores manifestaciones en contra del comercio de carne de perro y de gato en la historia de China, más de 8 millones de ciudadanos chinos votaron en apoyo a una propuesta legislativa para prohibir esta sombría industria.

In one of the strongest showings ever within China against the dog and cat meat trade, nearly 8 million Chinese citizens have voted online in support of a legislative proposal to ban the grisly industry. That is currently the highest number of votes for any proposal open to the public via the Chinese government’s official website.

In yet another victory for animals, the High Court at Guwahati has stayed an earlier High Court order which had allowed bulbul fighting. In January 2015, the Government of Assam had issued an order prohibiting bulbul fights during the festival of Bihu which was contested by the Shri Hayariba Madhav Temple committee in December 2015.
