En dépit de toutes les preuves, des données et avis d'experts, la Ville de Montréal a néanmoins décidé d’aller de l’avant avec son règlement visant des races particulières de chiens (LSR), restreignant non seulement sévèrement les propriétaires de pitbulls, mais visant aussi à interdire complètement certaines races.

Humane Society International/Europe raises horse welfare concerns in new EU horsemeat import rules
The European Commission is set to adopt long-awaited requirements to more strictly regulate horsemeat imports from non-EU countries. HSI/Europe says that whilst tackling the issue of traceability of horsemeat is important, the new rules risk compromising horse welfare by potentially keeping large numbers of horses on feedlots for long periods of time.

Cross-Canada #BeCrueltyFree Day of Action on September 13 to end cosmetics animal testing
On September 13, #BeCrueltyFree Canada called on Canadians coast-to-coast to urge the Trudeau government to support the Cruelty Free Cosmetics Act to ban cosmetic animal testing and trade. The Day of Action exposed the grim reality of cosmetic testing on animals and encouraged Canadians to take action to stamp out this needless cruelty.
