Humane Society International and Animal Help Foundation celebrate sterilization and vaccination of more than 11,000 dogs in Jamshedpur
More than 11,000 dogs have been successfully sterilized and vaccinated since April 2013 by the Jamshedpur Communities Dog Population & Rabies Management Project, making a huge impact on greater Jamshedpur’s dog population and rabies management.

The department of Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj withdrew an order to kill stray dogs. Humane Society International/India had issued a letter to the Principal Secretary asking for a clarification on the order, and urged the department to adopt World Health Organization’s suggested guidelines to control dog population in the state.
