Carolina acts as a liaison between HSI headquarters and Brazilian team members and stakeholders and she also provides local leadership and strategic direction to HSI´s program departments. Within this context, she holds regular internal and external meetings to discuss the development and execution of ongoing programs, while constantly seeking to identify appropriate opportunities to expand HSI outreach and long-lasting benefits to animals. Carolina is a qualified attorney with a doctorate in international law and a master’s degree in political sociology. She has 10 years of professional experience in the area of farm animal welfare policy in multilateral settings, and resulting expertise on intergovernmental organizations such as the World Trade Organization and the World Animal Health Organization.
