Daniela Sanchez

A veterinarian from the University of Chile, Daniela Paula Benavides Sanchez plans, implements and monitors HSI’s programs in Chile, including policy advocacy, capacity enhancement and corporate engagement to fight cruelty against animals and protect wildlife.

Sanchez has over 20 years of experience managing government projects related to animal welfare and wildlife protection in Chile. She documented some of her experiences in a book she co-authored, Transition to Sustainable Agriculture: Multi-stakeholders innovation networks in Chile. In 2018, she created her own consulting firm, Coaching for Sustainability.

She lives in Chile with her multispecies family, which includes two humans (her son, Mateo, and her daughter, Zoe) and two nonhumans (her dog, Charles Darwin, and her cat, Aura).
