VICE PRESIDENT, COMPANION ANIMALS AND ENGAGEMENT
With HSI since 1999, Kelly has oversight of the organization’s international companion animal projects. She leads the HSI anti-dog meat campaign, focused on eradicating the trade of dog meat in five Asian countries. In addition, she oversees humane and effective programs to address street dog population concerns across the globe. She also participates in leadership of HSI’s global disaster response and operations. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in natural resource studies and wildlife conservation from the University of Massachusetts. She has experience as a veterinary technician and has worked in local animal shelters in the United States. She acts as a media spokesperson for her campaigns and has co-authored various HSI reports and HSUS publications, including Dogs on Abaco Island, the Bahamas: A Case Study and State of the Animals.
