HSI pede ao governo brasileiro proibição de testes em animais para cosméticos
Na data de hoje a União Europeia (UE) implementa a proibição da venda de cosméticos recém-testados em animais. A Humane Society International (HSI), uma das maiores organizações de proteção animal do mundo, usa a data simbólica para pedir que o governo brasileiro siga o exemplo e adote medidas para acabar com testes em animais para cosméticos em todo o país.

A poll commissioned by HSI and Animal Alliance of Canada revealed that Canadians feel very strongly about the issue, with an overwhelming majority supportive of a nation-wide ban on the testing of cosmetics and their ingredients on animals.

HSI/Canada and the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition are renewing calls for an immediate federal prohibition on the slaughter, sale, transport and live export of horses for human consumption, after traces of phenylbutazone were recently found in Canadian horsemeat exported to Switzerland.
